Here's also where I test out some codes that may or may not work well.
Hi, hope you are still having fun. We have been having a good time with the forum, trying new things out and taking away what doesn't seem to work.
We are always looking for members. If you just want some place to hang out, a little Pogo information, some cheesy forum games, and the ability to talk about anything that's on your mind, check us out.
Is everyone still with us?
We have had a lot of ups and downs at the forum. We changed servers and are still trying to grow the membership. It's slow but our members are the best.
We now have our boards set and a theme pretty much in place.
The staff and I are now working on themes for different holidays and occasions, with Memorial Day going to be our first homemade one. At least we are trying to get it ready in time.
We also are having a Mothers Day Contest, with a prize of a $10.00 internet gift certificate. This is real short and ends quickly.
Y'all may not know that the forum has a small staff. A while back they came to me and presented a list of questions regarding their employment and benefits.
First off what kind of benefits does this job carry?
Is there a 401k plan, health, dental, and vison?
When is the staff annual party?
How many vacation days do we get?
Do we get holidays off?
What about overtime?
Do we get double time?
How many sick days are we allotted?
Is there a big screen TV in the employee break room and can I play video games on it?
What is the policy for drinking on the job?
Do you check criminal records?
Is there a Union rep we should report any problems to?
How long are lunch breaks?
Thanks for your time
Storm
Let me answer your questions.
Benefits?
You get to hang around with me, that's the biggest one.
401 K? The only K plan I know is the Kash and Karry. You bring the Kash and I will Karry the groceries.
Health, Dental and Vision? If you're not healthy, keep away from me. I don't loan my store teeth to anyone and you're better off not seeing things too clearly.
Staff Annual Party? We will have one as soon as they sober up from the daily one.
Overtime? Work all you want, I don't care.
Double time? Let's do the numbers 2x0=0.
Sick days? I get all I want, you got to work.
The employee break room is smaller than my office, if you can fit a big screen in there, be my guest. Just put the seat down.
Drinking on the job? Bring enough to share.
Criminal records? If you don't check mine, I won't check yours.
Problems? Talk to the hand.
Union Rep? You're in the south here, we shoot Yankees.
Lunch breaks? Lunch starts immediately after breakfast and ends just before supper.
Should you have any further questions, feel free to make an appointment.
I am free after lunch.
LL
But I do have one more...............Where's the bathroom?
In the same room with big screen TV.
TheLaundryRoom is growing a little at a time. Our membership is a fun group. We like to play games of all kinds, not just Pogo. We also have jokes, cartoons, weekly socials and polls and places to just interact.
Why don't you come on by and check us out?
This is my soapbox. I usually only climb up here when something has touched me deeply. Don't look for this to be updated all that often. I am hoping that with the startup of the new forum page that I won't have to spout much at all.
So far our little forum is growing slowly but our members are friendly and love to play. Mainly we are members of Club Pogo, but I am hoping to branch out a little into a more accessible gaming areas. Come by and see us, pull up a chair and just chat or read the funnies.
We would love to see you.
I will probably have more to say about this shortly.
I recently pulled away from a forum that I had been administrator of. I was concerned with the direction it was taking and no longer felt that I could be out front and support the trend it was taking. Today, I saw it was going in areas that my hosting service would disapprove of and asked that the links to my web site be removed.
Below is the e-mail I sent and the one I got in return:
"I am requesting you to please remove the links to my website that are on your front page.
I have a TOS with my hosting service, that given the current turn of Badge Ninja, violates my contract with them.
Thank you
Lynn"

"I wouldn't want you getting into trouble with your hosting provider. You might want to delete those warez site Pogo links, too since I'm going to let them know that's what's hosted there.
The links have been removed, your email account at badgeninja has been deleted, and your account is suspended. I wouldn't want you to get into any more trouble.
As of today, the Second Life forum will require you to login.

I have also had to remove some links to other sites due to threats by the administrator of that forum.
Sorry folks, but I would sooner not be a member of a site that exhibits such childish behavior.
As you know, I belong to a lot of forums. Some are for fun, some are for knowledge, some are just because. I have seen the demise of lots of forums. The causes are many, from lack of interest on the part of the administrator to out right driving the membership away.
One of the fastest ways to make people leave is when a member of the staff attacks another member, usually without any real provocation. This can range from stepping on their posts, denigrating their information to blatant attacks in public.
All this is usually done without any personal contact. A member will find that other members are avoiding them, usually chatty people now will not respond and questions will not be answered. Any attempt at finding assistance is ignored or made fun of.
This can escalate to outright lies about a members personal or professional life, things they supposedly did or said about another member.
The result is the member no longer posts as they do not know how their post will be received. Other members see this situation and they no longer post as they don't know if they are going to be the next target.
The truly abominable situation is when the administrator supports the attacks. If you belong to very many forums, you probably have been witness to some of these situations.
One thing good about it, you can leave if you are not happy with it, or you can upgrade your very minor forum into something that expresses how you feel about your members.
Now, there ought to be a 12 Step program for the this, but if there is, I have not heard of it. Most of us that have this condition really aren’t looking for a cure after all.
It does not impair our ability to drive, or at least it hasn’t until the startup of Pogo games on the cell phone. ( If you are doing this, please tell me where you live, I will not be on the roads there)
One of the main symptoms of this disease is a tendency to acquire badges. It doesn’t matter if they are cute or even that you enjoy playing the game, you absolutely MUST have that badge. To put it plainly, you are a Badge Hog.
Badge Hogs will use their friends, relatives and even casual acquaintances to get these badges. They roam lobbies asking total strangers to enter rooms with them for the sole purpose of using and discarding these poor unwary people in pursuit of a totally worthless picture.
This disease is infectious, just click on the link to Pogo.com and you too can join the roaming gangs of Badge Hogs.
